Registered-agent requirement

Every LLC must continuously maintain a qualified registered agent. A paid commercial service is optional when the owner or another eligible person can legally serve, maintains the required physical address in the formation state, and is available during normal business hours. Customers without an eligible in-state agent may purchase ANW Registered Agent Service separately for $150.

Important state-specific costs not included

• California: $800 annual franchise tax and required Statement of Information fee.
• Arizona: publication may be required depending on county.
• Delaware: annual LLC tax.
• Maryland and Massachusetts: substantial annual-report fees.
• Nebraska and New York: publication costs may apply and vary by county or newspaper.
• Nevada: state business-license and initial-list charges are reflected in the formation fee; renewals are separate.
• Tennessee: filing fees may increase when the LLC has more than six members.
• Texas: franchise-tax and Public Information Report obligations may apply.
• West Virginia: a separate business-registration certificate fee may apply.
• Other states: annual reports, franchise taxes, local licenses, publication, name reservation, certified copies, payment-processing charges, and industry permits are not included unless expressly stated.
